great book!
Loved this. I loved getting to know more about Becca and Jody. What it seems is that with every new couple being introduced Radclyffe is trying to tell their story while at the same time continuing with the main story. For some it can be confusing but if you stick with it you'll understand everything.
love it she is a great writer. love the series wish i had more time to read but i am so glad she does the audio ..
I felt like the love scenes just keep getting more and more raunchy in this series. I had to cut off this series at this book, because I just can't handle the over the top sexual fiends in this series. On a side note I did enjoy reading about Becca Land and Jody Gates, and I sort of wished more time would have been focused on their character development and relationship.
Not as good as her first one of this series, but still pretty good as far as lesbian paranormal romance goes. I'm still going to continue reading the series. I also really enjoy the fact that these books were written by a woman for women and not some man's erotic fantasy. The series is one of the better lesbian romances I've read and has a pretty balanced amount of storyline and steamy encounters.
Okay the second installment of the Midnight Hunters was truly insightful. Rad adds a few more characters in the book and allows us to finally get answers about the missing or dead Weres mentioned in the first installment. In reading the reviews some readers feel like there are too many characters and too many intertwined stories. I have to disagree on both accounts. I feel like the story wouldn't unfold completely without these supporting characters. I feel Rad does a great job of telling their stories and keeping the main story on track. These characters can make up an entire book if Rad wanted to and I think that's what the readers are truly feeling. She's doing her job well when this occurs. You want her to go in-depth with all of them. As for the timeline some readers feel aren't realistic...it's a book about Weres, Vampires, and other species.....who cares! Lol Can't wait for the next installment.
This is one of the most complexed and brilliantly written series I have ever read as it relates to lesbian non-human fiction, along with Red Mist. I found the dynamic and bioligy of the Weres and the Vamps intriguing. This lended itself to the believability of the story. The characters are fully realized and I soon found myself identifying with them inividually, as a couple, and as a species. The true mark of an excellent writer in LL Randy
